Hi.

I just found this line in AN093:

Frequency Hopping with SimpliciTI is currently under development at the time of writing this app note. (page 22)

Do we have a timeframe for this implementation?

We are currently going through some regression on this code set and are planning to release it mid to late Q2.

We are still working through the final process of getting version 1.2.0 released which will include FHSS support. We were shooting for the end of June but it may get pushed a week or two. I'll be sure to post on the forum as soon as it is available publically.

Regression has taken it's toll. However, we seem to be down to one final bug on the CC2520 platform so as soon this gets fixed, we should be publishing version 1.2.0. I hesitate to give an exact time as my previous prediction was obviously a bit optimistic but the release is eminent as soon as this final bug is worked out.

Is this actually frequency hopping (switching channels rapidly multiple times per message) or just frequency agility (switching to a new channel when one gets clogged)?

It is truly FHSS where channels are changed on a schedule independent of the user data being transmitted. Since SimpliciTI normally utilizes only small packets, messages are not prempted for a channel change. Thus, you must make sure your data rate is at least fast enough for a communication to take place within a single dwell period of the FHSS schedule.

hello

i am able to change the frequency channel frequently using

freq.logicalChan = 1;
if(SMPL_Ioctl(IOCTL_OBJ_FREQ, IOCTL_ACT_SET, &freq));

but after setting this i am trying to send/receive data in that channel by using

if (SMPL_Receive(LinkID, tx, &len ) == SMPL_SUCCESS);

if (SMPL_send(LinkID, tx, &len ) == SMPL_SUCCESS);

But i am not able to transmit data in changed channel.

Kindly help me
