Hello guys, I'm just wondering, is there any way to remove the sending of the preamble when sending data to the medium. Everything I've seen just instructs me to reduce the number of preamble symbols to a minimum of two.
Best Regards,
Rui

Hi,
sorry for the delay of the answer.
Yes basically if you set FRMCTRL0.TX_MODE[1:0] to '11', then you have infinite modulated pseudo-random data streamed out, OQPSK modulated, with no preamble.
Please also note preamble length can also be set to values from 2 to 17 bytes, using the register MDMCTRL0.PREAMBLE_LENGTH [3:0] fields.
Typically 2.4 Ghz OQPSK modulation uses 4 bytes for PREAMBLE.
Hope this clears it out.
Thanks,

Hey! Thanks for the answer. I've found out in this forum the thing I was looking for, and it goes a little on the lines you've said but has more to it (http://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/f/158/p/356756/1263532.aspx).
Thanks one more time, and best regards,
Rui
