Zigbee Router of Zstack

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK

I want to create a network with 1 Coordinator and all routers. ZC->R1->R2->R3->.......Rn

1. Can I make router to sleep forcefully.

2. Can I connect Sensor in router.

3.How many Router can we connected through an router(In my topology, there is no end device all router which is connected back to back, not as mesh).

  • Hi,

    To answer your questions

    1. In Z-Stack it is not possible to make a Router go into sleep mode.

2.Yes, you can connect sensors to a router.

    3. There is no limit to how many routers you can have in your network, the only factor that would limit this, if you have a very large network, will be how much memory you have available in your devices.

  • For Ques. 3, the maximum number of routers is not 'technically unlimited'. For a standard Stack profile, the MAX_DEPTH(maximum network depth), MAX_ROUTERS, MAX_CHILDREN are predefined. The STACK_PROFILE_ID  can be modified to customize the numbers.

Please refer to ZStack Developers Guide for clarification.
