Hi there,
I was doing some research on IoT. I'm curious know which wireless technology provide me the lowest power consumption feature.
- Bluetooth
- Wifi
- Zigbee
- sub 1GHz RF.
Thanks,
Rahul

1. ZigBee is a specification for a suite of high-level communication protocols used to create personal area networks built from small, low-power digital radios. ZigBee is based on an IEEE 802.15 standard. Though its low power consumption limits transmission distances to 10–100 meters line-of-sight, depending on power output and environmental characteristics.
2. It depends on how you implement the communication protocol. For example, 6LoWPAN for sub 1GHz (http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/wireless_connectivity/6lowpan/overview.page?paramCriteria=no) is low power. If you implement something that transmits or receives very fast, it will be very power consuming.
Thank you Chen,
I have worked on CC1xxx/CC430 sub 1Ghz transceivers. So, I'm new to this 6LoWPAN technology. Anyway I'll explore it.
I'm curious to know, CC1xxx/CC430 Vs 6LoWPAN in terms of power consumption & cost?, before I could actually start exploring 6LoWPAN .
Thank you so much!
