My new CC2531EMK USB dongle is not detected by any of my PCs. It does not show up in Device Manager.
Strictly speaking, this has nothing to do with drivers, because the system can't even see it to tell what its device ID is. That said, I had already installed Setup_SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer_2.18.1 before connecting the device.
Supposedly this device comes shipped with the packet sniffing firmware pre-installed (sniffer_fw_cc2531.hex)
When I plug the device in, its LED blinks once. If I press Switch 1, the LED blinks twice. If I press it again, it blinks three times, and if I press it again, I get no blinks. Pressing it more repeats the cycle. Is this the expected behavior of the packet sniffing firmware?
I don't own a debugging/programming dongle for this kit. I was hoping to utilize it for packet sniffing only for the time being. I'd hate to have to spend another $50 on a CC Debugger to re-program this, when this was supposed to come with the packet sniffing firmware.
