Is it possible to receive action-frames (IEEE80211_FTYPE_MGMT, IEEE80211_STYPE_ACTION) with the wl1271 in STA/Ad-Hoc mode when using the OpenLink driver?
Action frames seem to be filtered out by the firmware at the moment. Is it possible to adjust the wl12xx driver's filter settings to let them pass to the driver or is this behavior hard-coded in the firmware?
It is not possible to receive action frames in STA\Ad-Hoc mode. This behavior is hard coded in the FW.
In reply to Alon Srednizki:
Are there any plans to add a new filter option to the firmware which allows action frames to pass through the firmware?
This would be necessary for enabling 802.11s for the wl1271, too.
In reply to Tobias Gunkel:
I am not aware of schedule for supporting 802.11s for wl1271
In reply to Eyal a:
Has there been any update to TI's position on 802.11s support in the WL127x product family (WL1271, WL1271L, WL1273L)?
Will it be supported on other TI WLAN/ECS silicon?
In reply to Theresa:
I am not aware of plans to support 802.11s, However i posted that question to our Marketing and let them respond
I verified with Marketing and there is no plan to support 802.11s.
After almost 1 year, any news about 802.11 /s?
