ETSI 300 893 v1.7.1 Fail in WL18xx

Dear Sirs:

I have ever ask for the WL18xx can fit ETSI 300 893 v1.7.1 or not in the following link:

And our customer went to do the pre-test of it at lab, and unfortunatelly, it fails.

It fails on the Adaptivity test, and I also found some same problem is also on 1283 in the following post:

According to the answer of the post, the fix must be done in TI F/W and not in user side.

So, I would like to know whether the WL18xx firmware has such a fix or not? Or any options that we can set in the driver?

The driver version we are using is WL18xx R8.4

The sdk we are using is 6.0.

Yes, I am talking about the 5GHz ETSI certification.

The lab informed us the adaptivity test is failed.

And it is typo, I mean the ETSI 301 893 v1.7.1.

Hi,

The issue that requires a FW fix on WL1283 to pass ETSI adaptivity certifcation is irrelevent for WL18xx.

However we lately did find some bug that might fail the ETSI adaptivity test.

This bug was fixed in MAC FW version 8.9.0.0.26. So you might need a FW update.

If for some reason this doesn't help please send me your test data for further analysis (FW logs, spectrum image, sniffer logs or any more inputs you might have).

Thank you for the reply, I suppose we should download it from the git. And from the git I saw the tag "ol_r8.a9.17" should be 8.9.0.0.26.

And If we use that version of the firmware, should we also update and download the source that fit the tag version, or we can just use the R8.4 source code and only replace the downloaded ti-fw 8.9.0.0.26?

Can you give me a suggestion?

Hi CK,

In General, it is always the best practice to replace the entire Source and FW together,
B,ut, The Changes in the Driver Source code for that release are minimal, and the FW will operate even without those changes.
So, even if I recommend to update all, you can update only the FW Bin file
