Antenna used in TI BLE sensor tag

Hi,

I am working on TI sensor tag application. I am done with proof of concept and now in prototype development stage.. We got the schematics of the sensor tag from TI Site. In the schematics they are using an Antenna which is named as ANTENNA_IIFA_BLE , I got the description of the same from the sensor tag PARTLIST.xls as Antenna single ended IIFA, 2450 MHz . If I have to buy the same for our requirement I need the Part Number for the same.

Please help me to get the part number of the same.

Since we are buying the components from Mouser/Digikey , if you can provide the Part Number, which is Applicable in Mouser/Digikey, it will be great help for me.

Thanks & Regards

  • Hello Srinath,

It is a PCB antenna meaning that you only need to create a PCB footprint (copper) that you place in layout. You do not order this part as it is simply part of layout. Look at the reference design to see the correct dimensions. Copy the reference exactly to achieve the best performance (both with layout and components).

  • Do you have the detail layout quid line for it ?

    - impedance ?

    - trace width ?

    - trace space ?

    - trace length ?

  • Hello Carl,

Please refer to the following application note for details regarding the inverted F antenna.

The PCB layout files for TI reference designs are also published on the product website.

For information on other choices of antenna, please refer to the antenna selection guide in the following link.

    Hope this helps.
