Hello,

we want to make a hardware-device included with the CC2540.

At first we search a hardware kit to use it as a external chip and therefore the software-development-kit to programm/debug the included controller of the CC2540.

Then we search for a development-kit/-studio for android to develop an android-app for bluetooth, so we can connect via bluetooth the chip and get the possition of the chip round about in the area of the android-handy.

We know, we can buy from TI the development-kit, but there is so much hardware included we think we don´t need them for our purpose. We ask the hotline of TI but they can´t help us.

So I hope to get information from the E2E-community.

    What hardware in the development kit, in your opinion, would be irrelevant in the development process?

    Hi,

    normally one board where the CC2450 is included with its external components and the possibility to transfer firmware to the chip and to debug it.

    More is not needed to develop this system. The other side is the possibility to develop an app for android which drives and controls the bluetooth of the used device (handy, tablett).

    And the devlopmentkit includes 5 boards, so we think 4 to much!
