How to read buttons on CC2540 keyfob kit in Android?

I believe you have to first write value of 0x01 to the CCCD of the simple keys service to enable notification of button presses. Then you should be able to receive notifications when pressing the button on the fob.

It is still not clear to me.  Should the button read characteristics be ennumerated in the discovery process?  This does not seem to be working for me.  Additionally, all Android properties use 128 bit UUIDs, how do I convert the 16 bit handles to 128 bit UUIDs?

You guys need to ship some sample Android code, this is too hard to use as is.
