Programming HM-10 with cc Debugger

Hi all,

Has anyone had success with programming a HM-10 with a CC Debugger?

I have attempted this and have the debugger hooked up to the HM-10 with the light going green. However I cannot seem to successfully load any of the TI sample projects (SimpleBLEBroadcaster, SimpleBLEPeripheral) onto the board.

When I download and debug, there is no error but the broadcast name of the HM-10 does not change, and in some cases does not even appear.

I have checked the wiring several times and the CC Debugger does seem to recognise the board. What would you recommend I check? Does the config need to be changed to match a HM-10 board?

Hi Pruthvikar,

It could be bad soldering as you seem to have very odd behaviour. I suggest you double check the board again. Use flash programmer to identify the chip multiple times. Also make sure to power the board properly.

I have checked the wiring today. There are no short circuits on the board. I tested the debugger with a SensorTag and it worked as expected. Then I tried again with the HM-10 and have had no success.

I have checked that I have used the required connections for the debugger. DD, DC RESET, GND and VDD (Pin 9) to power the board.

I have attempted to program the board from another computer with no success either. I have also attempted to reprogram 4 different boards.

The CC debugger still picks up the boards and shows a green light. But any attempt to change the name or run SimpleBLEPeripheral was unsuccessful.

If anyone is based in London and is willing to have a look in person then we can compensate you for your time and effort. Otherwise further advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Arlon,

I had managed to find the cause of the problem. My iPhone was caching the services found over BLE. I managed to fix this by turning the bluetooth off and on.
