Hi All,

When I am using BTool Reading the six sensors' value from cc2541 sensortag, it displays"ATTR_NOT_FOUND" when I used "Read using Characteristic UUID". But it displays normal when using "Reading Characteristic Value/Descriptor".

The UUID and handle are all right.

for example:

handle UUID

0x29 --- 0xAA02

0x2C--0xAA03

and ect.

Try using the whole UUID:

F000AA02-0451-4000-B000-00000000-0000

I have tried again. The first time I used F000AA02-0451-4000-B000-00000000-0000, it doesn't work. It should be written reversed and it works!

But I wonder why the six sensors' value can't be read using 2 bytes while other characteristics can. Does "0xAA01、0xAA02、0xAA03……" have other meaning？

Hello,

Well done!

Because these are not a part of an Bluetooth SIG adopted service meaning that you need to use the full 128-bit UUID to reference them. All the defined UUIDS is listed in the BToolGattUuid.xml file which reside here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\BTool

You can change this file to add these new custom UUIDs so that you can call on them using just 16-bit UUIDs.

When you installed the BLE Stack, the BTool will be installed automotically. Hope it will help you.
