Use of other channels except the 37, 38 and 39.

BLE Stack 1.4.0 allows to use only 3 channels. How can I use other channels?

Hi,

BLE spec defines Channels 37,38 and 39 as Advertising channels. BLE spec reserves Channels 0-36 as data channels which will be used during a connection(with adaptive frequency hopping).

During advertising a device uses channels 37, 38 and 39 in a round robin manner.

I have one more question.

From my observations: in response to the scan, chip generates 3 responses at intervals of 100 ms; next is the timeout 500 - 1000 ms.

How can I change these intervals?

You can change the Advertising Interval to change the time between two consecutive advertising events.

Based on the type of advertisement, General or Limited, you need to set following parameters:

TGAP_LIM_DISC_ADV_INT_MIN// Minimum advertising interval, when in limited discoverable mode (n * 0.625 mSec)
TGAP_LIM_DISC_ADV_INT_MAX //Maximum advertising interval, when in limited discoverable mode (n * 0.625 mSec)
TGAP_GEN_DISC_ADV_INT_MIN //Minimum advertising interval, when in General discoverable mode (n * 0.625 mSec)
TGAP_GEN_DISC_ADV_INT_MAX //Maximum advertising interval, when in General discoverable mode (n * 0.625 mSec)
