SmartRF05 EB not detecting cc2540 module

Hi,

I have designed a CC2540 module; to program the same I connected the Vcc, GND, P2_1 <--> (P5 - pin10 i.e. EM_DBG_DD of SmartRF05 EB) and P2_2 <--> (P5 - pin12 i.e. EM_DBG_DC of SmartRF05 EB); when I power ON, the smartRF doesn't detect the device. My SmartRF05 EB version is 1.8.1.

What could be the problem?

Hello Praveen,
You also need to connect the RESET line.

See the figure in 6.13 at the below user guide for necessary signals:
www.ti.com/.../swru210a.pdf

You are missing reset and you also need to power the module separately and provide this voltage to the VDD from target (to drive level shifters on the SRF05) pin.
