CC26xx Code Composer Studio missing device file

Trying to compile KeyFob example using CCS Version 6.1.0.00104 but compilation fails with below message

This project was created for a device not currently supported: Cortex M.CC2640F128. Check for updates and visit the <a href="liveaction:OpenAppCenter">CCS App Center</a> to get the latest device support, or migrate the project to closest matching supported device by adjusting project properties. KeyFobStack project Problems

I tried to update but there is no option for CC26xx devices. Also in Project Properties -> General there is no listing of CC26xx family. Please let me know if the device support is available for CC26xx family.

Hi,

CC26xx device support should included out of the box in CCS 6.1. If you go to Help > Installation details, you should see something like this.

If you create a new CCS project, you should be able to select "SimpleLink Wireless MCU" and CC2640F128.

Hi TIABO,

In my CCS install "CC26xx Device support" is missing. It would be great if you can show me where the plugin is available.

Shardul,

When you install CCS 6.1, you must select SimpleLink Wireless MCU from the installer, otherwise CC13xx/CC26xx support will not be available. I think you will have to run the CCS installer again to get this supported.

Will this wipe out my current install base of projects, etc? Will it recognize packages already installed in the main dir (ie c:\ti), or do they need to be deleted and reinstalled, etc.. I have a working CCS with projects going for a couple years or so and now want to add the wireless devices.. thx, chane

I recommend to install new CCS installations in a separate directory, e.g. C:\ti\CCS_x_y_z, and make sure you include the Wireless devices during installation.

CCS will pick up existing packages, you will be prompted after startup if you want to "add" them to your new CCS installation.
