CC2640 internal DCDC fails

Hi，

We are confused by a DCDC problem now. The CC 2640 works in internal DCDC mode. Some chips often work OK for a while after power on (from a few seconds to a few days), then stop working. We check the DCDC_SW pin to find that the voltage drops to about 0.02V (VDDS is OK, 3.2V). After a pin reset (pull Reset pin to ground and release), the chip can be recovered, and the voltage of DCDC_SW pin recovers to 1.6x V.

So what's the possible reason? Thanks a lot !

Hi,

Can you provide us with some more information for us to be able to help:
Which chip revision are you using, which BLE stack and TI RTOS version do you use? Do you load the DCDC output externally?

Also, please share a schematic so it is possible for us to review.

Are you seeing any issues on this? Note, to measure the output from the internal DCDC, measure the VDDR voltage that is after the inductor and large cap, not directly on the DCDC_SW pin.
