Question about MSP430 and Bluetooth
I am looking for a low power development board of Bluetooth and microcontroller. This board need to work of few weeks by coin battery or rechargeable Lithium.
My target is to have the ability to transfer data from mobile to the microcontroller and back via Bluetooth or BLE ( I only need to transfer a byte from mobile to microcontroller one in a few sec and return acknowledge) .
I have the MSP430 Launch pad but know , also I have a CC2541 sensor tag development kit (but I think it is only a transmitter and nor programmable).
The CC2541 is a BLE Single Mode SoC. If you need BT and BLE, the CC2564 is your choice. It is a Dual Mode solution. The main wiki is here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x. You can find EVM information as well as Sample Apps.

I looked on this page already, but I got lost.
I still don’t know which board will be the best for my target. My target is to have the ability to transfer data from mobile(Iphone/Andriod) to the microcontroller and back via Bluetooth .
Do you know if the eZ430-RF2500T http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau227e/slau227e.pdf will be good for me or i will need to use PAN1323EMK kit and the MSP-EXP430F5438 board http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_MSP430_Bluetopia_Basic_Demo_APPS.
Also do you know if the same code will work on both kits? Because I didn’t find a lot of sample code for that on the eZ430-RF2500T .
You can use either EZ430-RF2560 or MSP-EXP430F5438 + PAN1323EMK. The sample code in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_MSP430_Bluetopia_Basic_Demo_APPS supports both HWs out of the box.
FYI. The EZ430-RF2500 is not a Bluetooth solution.

I read on the forum, that we can’t develop an Bluetooth application for IOS without MFI.
As I understand we could develop application with the CC2541DK-MINI. So I read a bit more about The CC2541 BLE Single Mode SoC.
Can you tell me if I will use GATT profile or The Phone Alert Status profile (PASP). The CC2541 will do the work for My goal as well ?
