Do you have any plans to support BT 4.1 with CC2564? Is the support even theoretically possible with this chip?

Hi Juha,

As far as I know, We should be 4.1 complaint, as there is no feature which is mandatory. we’re currently working on getting new QDID with 4.1 specifications.

and to answer your question, yes it is possible.

Do you have any plans to bring any new 4.1 features to cc2564? Like LE-scatternet (simultaneous central and peripheral connections).

Hi Juha,

Yes, but we don’t have an specific dates on when it will be available.

NOTE: CC256xB is 4.1 certified, QDID - D022263(https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=22263).

Thanks for the info! It seems that LE scatternet is not yet supported with CC256xB. Hopefully we will see it some day.

What is the current situation? Is new 4.1 features (like LE scatternet) supported with

a) CC2564A

b) CC2564B ?

Hi,

Either of them does not support the "LE scatternet" 4.1 feature.
The next device is expected to support this.
