Hi Champs,

we need the current consumption details for the Dual mode device C2564/BL6450Q during iBeacon mode (works in 100ms interval).

Shown below for reference.

There is a TI app note already available for minimizing current consumption using single mode part BT-LE C2541. Similarly, we need the current consumption numbers for the dual mode part.

Also, please let us know if there is any reference design based on C2564 platform powered from Battery/Cell.

Hi,

As far as I know the iBeacon depends on the implementation in the stack. BLE current consumption during advertising is mentioned in the data sheet

Yes On-Chip Power Management, Including Direct Connection to Battery, please check the data sheet.

Hi,

What I understand from SSO team is that, the stack does not support iBeacon out of the box. But the iBeacon profile only consists of specific advertising data. As long as the user specifies this we would have no problem sending it. Unfortunately, we don’t have any examples for this at the moment.

Regarding the Power Consumption numbers during advertising is already specified in the datsheet.

HI, I see that data sheet says the dynamic power consumption for BLE advertising:

Mode	Description	Average Current	Unit
Advertising, nonconnectable	Advertising in all three channels 1.28-seconds advertising interval 15 bytes advertise data	104	μA

Is this an overall power measurement or I need add 104uA to 70 mA for continuously GFSK current consumption?
