Hi,

We have made cc2564mod based board(CC2564mod including level shifters)and for testing using MSP-EXP430F5438 experiment board and the SPPdemo sample code.

i have ported stone street SPP Demo on MSP5438A. when i reset the module and monitor UART com port 5 with 9600 8n1, it is showing

stack init failed -4.

unable to open stack.

Please let us know how to debug the issue as I am not able to see in debug mode exactly the issue because the code jumps to DisplayFunctionError("Stack Init", Result); after Result = BSC_Initialize(HCI_DriverInformation, 0);

Please do the needful.

Testing SPP demo code from STONESTREET but getting the same error.

Hi,

I have tested it myself with MSP430F5438A + CC2564MODNEM (http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2564modnem) and i did not face any issue.

Please check if the CC2564B patch is applied and the jumper settings are correct.

as I see you have made the cc2564mod based board, Please check if every thing is fine with it you can refer to the CC2564MODNEM Deigns files

We tested with CC256XQFNEM, its working, so no doubt on the jumper setting and the firmware patch.

Hi,

Since you have already confirmed that jumper setting and the firmware patch.

The issue is still with HCI interface, Please make sure you have taken care of first three steps from here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_Testing_Guide

As mentioned earlier please also check if everything is fine with cc2564mod based board you have made? you can refer to the CC2564MODNEM Deigns files.

Schematics is same as reference design.

we can verify power up sequence but clock and RTS sequence will be taken by stack wright?

Hi,

No, Please see the datasheet slow clock section

And the CC256x device will indicate a complete proper power-up sequence by pulling HCI_RTS low.
