Hi,

I have a general question to that Bluetooth LE profile demo.

Why are server and client always connected?

I have read the profile specification:https://www.bluetooth.org/docman/handlers/downloaddoc.ashx?doc_id=238687.

So it is defined when data is ready to send: advertising->Scanning->Connection->Data transfer-> disconnect

In this Demo, the connection is always active.And when I want to send the temperatur with "Indicate Temp XX" the is no advertising or scanning. Why is it so?

Hi,

As mentioned in the HTP_V10.pdf, Once connected, if there is no indications or notifications (that is the Thermometer has no data to transfer) it will wait for the idle connection timeout and disconnect.

Hi,

In addition to the above post, the scenario mentioned is an use for HTP but it is not mandatory. It’s up to the user application to handle Idle Connection Timeout and Advertising and Scanning when the Thermometer has data to send.
