[CC2564B] checking PCM_OUT signal without BT connection

With CC2564B, is it possible to generate PCM output signal without A3DP connection of BT device?

“Purpose” – during production line, to check if BT(CC2564B) module is properly connected, and to check if the connector is OK or not.

For doing this, I tested PCM loopback mode. PCM loopback mode itself worked fine.

However, there is no signal output at PCM_OUT (I checked with a scope), because there is no signal input at PCM_IN.

So, if you have a good idea of checking PCM_OUT signal, without BT connection, please let me know.

Please the inputs I have received internally

Loopback mode should be just fine. When testing loopback mode, they should insert a signal in PCM_IN, and they should see the signal (with offset) in PCM_OUT.

If there is no use of PCM_IN, then PCM loopback mode cannot help, becasue there is no signal output at PCM_OUT.

So, is there any way to send out some signal, just for testing purpose?

It is fine, if the signal of PCM_OUT is not a sound but just a signal.

It is not possible to place data on the PCM buffer and send it over the PCM_OUT line. Would it be possible for the customer to connect PCM_IN just for this testing? Is it going to be during Production? Do they want to check data integrity on the PCM_OUT? or just want to check some sort of continuity?

in that case, we can set the PCM_OUT as GPIO. You can do the following after loading the SP and that will toggle the line low and high. See below.
