Hi,

I want to connect simultaneously the CC256X as a master of a headset (headphone + microphone) and also as a slave of another BT device in which the CC256X needs to act as a headset.

Per data sheet this is supported (1 master and 2 slaves), wanted to verify.

Also which mode and profiles I should choose.

Hi,

As far as i understand you want to make CC256x act as handsfree in one case and gateway in another case.

If so currently HFP AG role is not supported in any of the Tiva or MSP bluetopia releases. Only HFP HF role is supported.

If the CC256XX can be a master doesn't that mean it can establish a connection with a headset?

BTW I need two independent audio channels:

1. CC256XX is BT master

2. CC256XX is BT slave

Hi,

You can establish connection from CC256x when it is acting as handsfree.

I did not get you. Can you please be little more elaborate?

Hi,

When you say that the CC256X does not support HFP AG role is not supported in any of the Tiva or MSP bluetopia releases. Only HFP HF role is supported, doesn't that mean that the CC256XX can't act as master of the BT connection to a headset?

Again I need to be the master of the BT connection to a headset in one channel and act as the headset in the other channel simultaneously.

Hi,

If the HFP HF is initiating the connection, it can be the master.

Master /slave role is different, for better understanding please refer to the Bluetooth specification.

Hi,

CC256x does not need to be AG, to be a master in one Piconet and act as slave to other Piconet.

Hi,

I understood from support that the CC256X supports HFP HF and not HFP AG.

But got no answer for my initial question

In the CC256X data sheet it is written:

I understand this as the ability to have at least one BT link which is master and another BT link which is slave, simultaneously

In more detail I need to connect the CC256X as a master of one audio channel to a headset slave, and also to connect the CC256X functioning as a headset slave to a BT master.

Wanted to confirm this is possible.

Sorry I could not see the image you have pasted.

There is no limitation from the chip side for this scenario.

In addition just to be clear when you said "more detail I need to connect the CC256X as a master of one audio channel to a headset slave" , what do you mean by headset slave?

Hi,

I am connecting to an equipment that usually is a master connected to a headset (mic and hdpn) slave, so I need to play the headsets slave role in the communication.

At the same time I am connected to a "real" headset slave and playing the role of a master
