TRF7970A EVM could not find H.I.D. iClass card

I'm very new to RFIDs and NFC and I'm also trying to connect to a HID iClass tag with a TRF7970A evaluation model.  As I follow the document posted above it seems that there is a different software set being used than the standard TRF7970A EVM drivers or GUI.  Setting the registers doesn't seem to do anything due to the command options and set protocol tool, the register values are changed when any command is given.  How would one handle ACS, addtional command?  I guess the main question is how would one implement the ISO 15963-like protocol with the TRF7970A EVM GUI?  Thanks.

I'm a new user for the TRF7970A with the EVM. I've seen your document with "8132.PicoPass Card Interoperability with the TRF79x_v2.pdf", but I have no Sirit/I2R reader.

Could you show me how to config my TRF7970A EVM to test the PICOPASS card? Or the only way is I have to modify the firmware in the MSP430?

I just completed getting code written (on the -G2553 LaunchPad) to perform the three step process that is covered by ACS. (ACTALL, IDENTIFY and the SELECT) to get the serial # out of the card. This card requires you to send this before accessing the blocks or sending any other command. Its getting late here - but i wanted to let you know that I did see your post. 

i will add extensively on to the PPT and give you the code, too. i will have some more time tomorrow to now collect my thoughts and present this in a meaningful way. 

Sorry for the delay - but i do want to give you all the details, it was a little tricky at first, but now its working great and  spitting out the values to the UART + RSSI.

pls. see attached updated slide deck and code example for MSP-EXP430G2 LaunchPad (with MSP430G2553 onboard) + DLP-7970ABP (TRF7970A BoosterPack). 

I was able to complete code for ACS procedure, then READ, READ4, ACT and HALT commands. You will see i made a to-do list at the end of the slide deck and i did my best to comment the code as much as possible. I also created a framework for the other commands the card supports, you will see that too.

Let me know if you find any errors or omissions and if you have any improvements to this presentation (let me know) or in the codebase, please repost (in the spirit of the E2E community)

here is the updated code project, now with the ASNB being handled dynamically, so any card you present will be read out. (before it was hardcoded, just to get the project moving forward). I also added the DETECT command, so any card with EAS bit set to 0 will respond, too. 

and just to be thorough, i also am included the updated PPT, so it now matches what the code does. 

Still to do is implement CRC checking, etc., as indicated on last slide.
