Pull data from SD card to RF430CL330H

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: RF430CL330H

Hello,

I am curious if this is possible.  I have data stored in an SD card, lets say its 100KB long (much larger than the NFC tags 3Kb SRAM).  Is it possible, using a microcontroller, to continuously pull data from the SD card and write it to the tag while the reader is receiving it?  I guess the idea is that this could be done without having to remove contact, re-write the tag message and then read again by tapping the tag again.

Thank you.

Erick

  • Hi Erick,
We have a slightly different version of the RF430CL330H that is intended for this kind of application. Of course, the data size should be appropriate for NFC. I do not recommend transferring gigabytes or even megabytes via NFC. The effective throughput with a tag device is ~5-10kbps. Please send me an e2e friend request and we can discuss options.
  • Eddie,

I tried to send an e2e request a few weeks ago, but have not heard anything back from you.  I would really like to discuss the options you have available for the application I am working on.

    Thank you

    Erick
