TRF7964A EN and EN2 VIL and VIH thresholds?

Page 9 of rev H of the TRF7964A datasheet specifies the logic thresholds for EN and EN2 in terms of VDD_I/O, but when the device is in power down mode, the VDD_X regulator is off. Since VDD_I/O is normally powered by VDD_X, it doesn't make sense that the EN and EN2 thresholds are spec'd in terms of VDD_I/O. Can someone tell me the actual thresholds for EN and EN2?

PS: The technical documents page for the TRF7964A is still missing the errata.

Hey Galen,

You mean because when EN and EN2 are low VDDx is turned off causing VDD_I/O to be 0 V? I see your point.

I just talked with the team, and they are pretty confident that these two pins, EN and EN2, are reference off of Vin.

I've sent an e-mail to our test team in Germany to confirm this. If so, the datasheets are incorrect and I'll update them.

Can you please specify the errata you are referring to.

Thanks for the quick response. In an earlier forum discussion, I was told that the TRF7970 errata generally apply to the TRF7964A. The TRF7964A web page does not show any errata, so an unsuspecting user might have an unpleasant, time-wasting surprise.

BTW, I sure wish they would bring back the preview feature.

the TRF7964A and the TRF7970A are same base silicon - they share same errata in that regard.

which preview feature are you referring to?

I just heard back, both EN and EN2 are referenced to Vin, not VDD_I/O.

I'll submit a change for the datasheet.
