CC3000 and Hostname addition to DHCP Request and Discover

Can you please add Hostname to DHCP so that we can then call gethostname on ourselves without errors and this would also let us add a string to show up for hostname in our routers instead of "<unknown>". This only adds two bytes plus the length of the string to DHCP which is under 1000 bytes so it should be easily done. Can you please add this? Pretty sure you need to add to both request and discover. The string could easily be limited to a reasonable number like 16 ascii characters and saved on the EEPROM. Then whenever DHCP is performed you would just add the string in if it is saved in the EEPROM.

Hi Chad,

Thanks for your inputs. It for sure is a good idea to add the host name to the DHCP packets.
But as of now we do not have plans to add this as part of the DHCP packets. May be in the future we will try to add this feature.
