CC3000 antenna

I am using cc3000 in my product design which will be used enclosed in metal box from 3 sides and a circuit with 40% grounding on the 4th side. This will cause cage effect, which will reduce my signal strength, so i am planning to redesign the antenna arrangement. What will be the best option for me

>> Replace the antenna with a PCB antenna on a small portion of PCB brought out of metal case

>> bringing the chip antenna out on the exposed PCB portion

My exposed PCB is not the same as the PCB on which my cc3000 is mounted so i will connecting the two with wire, which will affect my impedance matching.

Also i am totally new to antenna designs, so which tool will be test for me to analyse the impedance matching.

Do i need to do re-certifications in case i just change the position of my chip antenna from what is used in TI design (my option no 2)
