Configure multiple CC3000 devices to different APs serially

According the CC3000 Wiki,

Currently is it not possible to configure multiple CC3000 devices to different APs simultaneously
NOTE: It is possible to configure multiple CC3000 devices to different APs serially, OR configure multiple CC3000 devices to the same AP simultaneously

Can you elaborate on how to to configure multiple CC3000 devices to different APs serially? Can all CC3000 devices and APs be on at the same time and then we pair them up one-by-one?

Thanks!

  • Hi Daniel,

By "serially" it means that we can put the individual CC3000 in smartConfig mode one by one, and configure that particular CC3000 for a particular AP.

All the CC3000 devices cannot be on at the same time and be configured at the same time to different APs. But we can configure all these CC3000 devices to the same AP at the same time.

The problem with having all the CC3000 devices on in smartConfig mode (wanting to connect to different APs) is, these CC3000 devices will accept all the SmartConfig requests and in most cases connect to the first AP.
