Hi,

I try to interface a cc3000 with my STM32F4. The initialisation is OK, I follow cc3000 Host Programming guide, so I supply the cc3000 at 3.3v with enough power, i put Enable at High State, the IRQ take 60ms to go high and down, and the chip select go down. I done the FirstSpiWrite of 10 bites, the IRQ go high and down after 900 ms. But for the second Write the IRQ is not piloting.

Do you have a solution of my trouble? Do i must put a specific patch programmer on the EPROM device?

Hi,

Are you using the Host Driver with the correct Service Pack version? The versions should match the table here: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3000_Release_Notes

The SPI timing should match as per the below wiki link:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3000_Serial_Port_Interface_%28SPI%29

Does the First-Write sequence complete? (i.e, are you writing 10bytes (4bytes + 6 bytes) , and getting the desired result?). If yes, then you must send another command (Eg: Read host buffer command) to get the next set of response. The 900 ms for the IRQ is too long. Please check if the power up sequence matches the one explained in the data sheet on page-9 (www.ti.com/.../cc3000.pdf).

Also, if you are evaluating CC3000, then I would suggest you to take a look at our new devices CC3100, CC3200 (www.ti.com/.../cc3100 and www.ti.com/.../cc3200)

The power sequence is ok, all signal for initialisation are well programmed before first writing.
I check with scope data send on MOSI so it's normal sequence:
MOSI : 0x01 0x00 0x05 0x00, 50 µs pause, 0x00 0x01 0x00 0x40 0x01 0x00.
But On MISO, i don't receive the expected result. I receive:
MISO : 0x02 0x04 0x08 0x10, 50 µs pause, 0x20 0x40 0x81 0x02 0x04 0x08
(en décimal) 2 4 8 16 32 64 129 2 4 8

And i think that's why the IRQ go HIGH and stay HIGH.

I try to interface the cc3000 with STM32F4 but my colleague try to interface the cc3100 with STM32F4 too, we both try to understand the cc3000 logic before using it and before choosing for power consumer and wifi scope

Any idea to solve this problem?

Problem solved by adding a 1Kohm PullUP resistor en CS SPI communication line.
That's strange because I already define on software CS like PullUP.
