Ordering small quantities of CC3200 silicon...

Through my distributor, I have been pestering TI for almost one month about price and delivery of CC3200 silicon. I don't want to buy LaunchPads to cannibalize components. :) Heck, I will take CC3100 silicon as a stopgap used with an external uP.

I have received no info from TI, not even a "Go away, we don't want your business." response.

Has anybody received any pricing or delivery info from TI that can be shared? I saw a slide on one of the presentations about production in July.

First, I am sorry that you haven't gotten a clear response so far.

We, certainly do value you as a customer and want your business.

We are a few weeks away from Silicon availability for CC3200 and CC3100, and your distributor should be able to provide you a quote by 2nd Half of August.

Thanks for the update... Is Q4 reasonable to expect delivery on 100 pieces of the CC3200?

I can use LaunchPads for software development until then but I'm anxious to get onto my own hardware.

I am unable to make order fullfillment commitments but I think Q4 is a reasonable expectation for this order quantity.

Please ask your distributor to place the order as soon as they are able to.

Well, we're a couple of weeks into Q4 now, and all the usual distributors I would look to for small volumes (Digi-Key, Arrow, Avnet etc.) are still showing zero stock of any CC3100/CC3200 loose silicon.

Hopefully they start becoming available soon, I'm also looking forward to getting my hands on some.
