How to program the serial flash for cc3200

For a raw serial flash ( i.e. a new one purchased ) , what is the procedure I have to do to get it work with cc3200 ?

I guess it must be formatted first , then be loaded with system configuration files or executable files ,

so my questions are:

how to format it ?

which files are the must carriee to get the system run on ?

will this flash programing procedure is too complex for the manufacturing procedure ?

did TI deliver any doc about this topic ?

Hi,

The procedure is as follows:

format the serial flash
program the service pack (this is the "firmware" binary of the device)
program rest of the files if required (files like MCU image if you use CC3200, certificates, user files, user web pages, etc)

The Uniflash tool can be downloaded from: http://www.ti.com/tool/uniflash

The service pack can be downloaded from (look for SDK CC3200 and you should see it next to the SDK download):

In production line, you should use command line. It is all described on the UG as well.
