Help! Need to import CC3200 launchpad files into Altium 13

Hello, I am also having the same problem.  did you ever hear anything back from TI?  Usually they are good about getting back to you.

Yes, I could even work with the Allegro 16.2 version of the CC3200 file.

Just to add my voice to this request. I am using Altium 14, and had no luck opening the brd file. If you have access to the tools, it would be enormously helpful if you could import the design into Altium for us. Is this something you might be willing to help with. We are all able to design the board in Altium from scratch, but it would take time and introduce risks. Really, we just want to get stuck into using the CC3200 asap. You've done all the hard work already, so it would be a shame to have to rehash it.

I called TI and reached someone.  the nice gentlemen said he would get the forum owner to help us out with the request.  keep your fingers crossed!

At the moment we do not have the Launchpad file in Altium format.

But we can provide the file in Allegro 16.2 format if that helps

In future we plan to release the board files in Altium as we are slowly doing the transition

It's great that this thread is finally getting some response.  Thank you Prajay!  But these files still can not be opened with Altium.  

The layout file must be saved as a .ALG file.  The binary file (.BRD) is not acceptable.  I tried to make that clear in the original post.  I don't mean to be critical.  I'm just trying to be precise.

The schematic is actually some sort of (Allegro?) directory structure.  I don't know how to use that.  I have never used Allegro due to cost, so I don't know what to import into Altium or even if this can be done.  Is there another Altium user here that knows?  What is the Allegro equivalent of an Altium schematic file (.SchDoc )?

Note:  For others trying to open the design, note that both the schematic and layout files provided by Prajay are compressed.  Use 7-Zip or similar to extract them.

Thanks again for your attention to this.  I really like the idea behind this board and the CC3200 IC, but individual users and small companies don't have the budget that TI does so there is absolutely no way for us to use Allegro.

I second what Chris says.  TI, please help!

If you install the demo version of Orcad/Allegro it includes the necessary files to do a board import from a .brd file.  Schematic does need to be in 16.2 format though.
