I am not exactly clear where in the process you need assistance. Is it the LED part or the controlling via wireless network part. Either way, I'd recommend moving from the documentation and checking out the examples provided with the SDK - http://www.ti.com/tool/cc3200sdk

Dear Glenn,

thank you for responding.my problem is in the controlling through the wireless network part.Actually I read the examples what i have understand that first of all the cc3200 should become in Access Point mode(if i dont want to use internet) and then I should establish a connection between my pc and cc3200 through a certain protocol in order to communicate, is it that true??.then I tried to apply the example(getting started with AP mode) and it didnt succeed and I am not able to see the results through the uart because i dont know where i can see the results.

CC3200 SDK 1.0.0 : 'getting started with AP mode' supports UART prints, please refer the same example's wiki page for more info.

To control LED over network you can refer 'out of box / httpserver' example where user can control LED/s through HTML page. In these 2 examples device can act as Station/AP mode depending on jumper connection on P1:2.

I looked over all the examples and I tried "getting started with AP mode" but I am not able to see the results over the UART how could I see the results is there a special program for that??also I tried "getting started with STA mode" and the red led glow with me which is the first step successful connection to AP and I am not able to obtain the ip (Step 2&3).

Actually I solve the problem and i saw the ip on the UART terminal but now I have another problem with the TCP/IP protocol (in the final sentence using the command ipref,i dont know where to use that command.also what about if i want to control three leds via wifi using TCP/IP protocol is that possibel???

See, how that is done at httpserver example program. At the example program, you are able to toggle 1 led on and off. But, you can add more led toggling feature if you want.

actually i want to control the colour of 3 RGB leds using pwm signal and these three leds should have wifi capability so for example if i want a yellow color i should send a command from a computer to the cc3200 through a wifi network.my problem is sending and receiving files from the client and the server and vice versa 

Hi Haitham,

You could refer to the "pwm" example to control the brightness of LEDs.

To communicate the command over WiFi, you have a lot of options to do this:

1. Like Markel suggested, extend the httpserver example.

2. Use tcp_socket as reference and develop an application (on device and PC) to communicate the command.

thanks for the advice.Actually I am working on parallel with both examples.For the TCP socket example there is a problem is that when I establish the connection between the device and the pc I dont know which ports I should use with both of them, and how can I differentiate the client from the server.

You could try running iperf on your PC, it can log or generate network traffic either as a client or server, both TCP and UDP protocols, also Wire Shark has even more capability
