Pin mux installation in windows 8

Unable to install pin mux utility in windows 8.1.

  • Hi John,

Could you provide some more details on what happens?

Could you also check if an installer log was created? If you open a Windows Explorer and type %TEMP% in the address bar, it will take you to your temp folder. The installer log is named "bitrock_installer_<process_id>.log". If you sort the files by creation date, it would easier to find. If there is a log, please attach it here.

  • Thanks very much, Andy:

For some reason the setup file was downloaded as a "396" file and not an "exe" file.  Apparantly this file type is accessed by windows explorer.

Anyway I tried renaming it as pinmux.exe and it was able to install the utility correctly in windows 8.1.

    Thanks,

    John

  • Great to hear it's working John. Thanks for letting us know.
