SMARTRFTM-STUDIO: SmartRF Studio 2.6.0 Bugs

Part Number: SMARTRFTM-STUDIO
SmartRF Studio 2.6.0 Bugs
1) Test related to Sensitivity Measurement

  1. Load vetted XML file.
  2. Change to Packet TX from Packet RX
  3. Start - Works Ok
  4. Stop
  5. Change to Continuous TX
  6. Change from Modulated to Unmodulated
  7. Start - Works Ok
  8. Stop
  9. Change back to Packet TX
  10. Start - BOOM
  11. Without needing to close and restart, normal operation can be restored by re-loading the XML.
Instead a FSK modulated signal, it apparently enables the carrier at the beginning of the packet and disables the carrier at the end of the packet.
2) Not necessarily coincidental with the above,  SmartRF has produced the attached Visual Studio Error messages.
...Visual Studio is installed on this machine.
...No Visual Studio Apps are running however. (To my knowledge)
...No other Windows applications are active during these tests except normal services.
3) During an active SmartRF session wherein the machine is sending out good packets, it will intermittantly stop doing so.
...This is without any provocation not even touching the machine.
...Green flying packet icons continue to be displayed.
...No error messages are displayed.
...Attempting to interact with the App produces no-reaction and requires either a re-boot or a process shut-down via Task Manager.
  • Hi Jay,

    1)
I have tried to reproduce the problem you have described but without success.
Don't know what kind of device you are using but I tried with TrxEB + CC1120EM. I just created a configuration file to have the same scenario as you have described, but would you be able to post the file you are using?

    2)
I don't see any attachment. Could you try to post it again.

    3)
Same as point 1. Difficult without the exact configuration.
Does it take a long time before it stops sending packets?

    Regards,
    Øyvind
