when we use the cc2650launchpad for programming cc2650stk, does the jtag connected allow debugging the sensortag cc2650stk?

There is no JTAG on SensorTag. Do you mean CC-DEVPACK-DEBUGGER?

Ref P1 on www.ti.com/.../swrr134c.pdf the sensor tag has a jtag connector. And yes, it allows debugging.

No. The cjtag pins on the sensotag2650(the jtag interface on the sensortag). ive read that the pin on the SensorTag’s CC2650 which outputs the SPI clock to the flash memory is also used as the JTAG TDI pin.

can that jtag interface provide debugging ?

As far as I see from the schematic the SPI interface is only used for the external flash meaning that the shared pin will only be an issue if you use jtag and spi at the same time. But as far as I can see you should be able to use cJtag without issues since these pins are not shared.

In effect it should not be a difference using the jtag connector or the devpack since the later also uses the jtag for debugging.
