How to get the sensor data from TRF7970A EVM?

I am a beginner to use TRF7970A EVM and RF430FRL152H EVM. As we know, TRF7970A can get the sensor data from RF430FRL152H. So what I am trying to do is to output the sensor data from TRF7970A. But I don't know which pin I can get the data. Does someone know that?

the data would be pulled out from the TRF79xxA FIFO, like any other tag response. (over SPI or Parallel interface, whichever one you are using) to the MCU.

Thanks for your fast reply, Josh. So I can get the data from the SPI or Parallel interface of the TRF7970A? Then how I can get the data, such as if I am using Arduino, is there any libraries for Arduino for TRF7970A I can use? I mean I want to know the procedure to get the data in detail if I use the SPI to Arduino.

Energia example can be used directly and vice-versa, this is my understanding.
really its no different than any other operation with the TRF. It (the TRF) has no idea of what the data coming in is - in this case it would only be checking the ISO15693 CRC for you, with the data (payload) inside the response for you to parse out.

Thank you. But I still don't know how to do. Simply speaking, can we program the TRF and output the data to PC? And how to output?
I am sorry I am a very beginner of it.

Hello Jing,

The TRF7970A is for all intents and purposes an RF radio. It doesn't have smarts to process data it receives, or output it over anything but SPI/Parallel. You need to use an MCU to control the TRF7970A and ask it for the data it receives. Then you can do whatever you want with that data on the MCU. You can calculate the result there, or send it to a PC, etc.

An example of what you can do is: program an MCU to communicate with the TRF7970A and receive the RF430FRL raw sensor data, and then when the TRF7970A passes that data over SPI to your MCU, you can send that over UART or USB to a PC where you calculate the desired value from the raw data received.
