Hi!

I wanted to import the 'TRF7970ABP_FR4133_FRL_Reader' example project to Code Composer and I've got these errors.

In CCS Project wizard

Error: Import failed for project 'TRF7970ABP_FR4133_FRL_Reader' because its compiler definition is not available. The project does not appear to be a 'CCS Project'. Please try importing it through the 'General > Existing Projects into Workspace' wizard.

Please use the 'Code Composer Studio > CCS Projects' wizard to import the project 'TRF7970ABP_FR4133_FRL_Reader'.

What could be the problem?

Hello mayer,

Which version of CCS are you using?

Have you installed the MSP430 Compiler Tools?

Hello Ralph!

It's CCS 7.0, but I wanted to port this project to cc2650. In case do I also need for the MSP430 Compiler Tools?

Hello mayer,

I believe you would need the MSP430 Compilers based on the error CCS is reporting. Try that and see if that resolves the issue. That project is on CCS 6.x.x so I wouldn't expect it to have compatibility issue with CCS V7.0 if the MSP430 Compilers are installed.

Hello Ralph!

I've added the MSP430 Compiler and MSP430 GCC with CCS App Center, dispite I've got the same error message.

Maybe, is there a problem with CCSv7, and I should try CCSv6, or I missed an important step after downloading?

I was able to import the project into CCSv7 with no issues.

Are you using this option?

Hi Ralph!

I reinstalled CCSv7, and during the installation, I've added the proper compilers.(with CCS app center it didn't work)

It solved my problem.
