RF430FRL152H: Internal Temperature Sensor Range and Accuracy..

Part Number: RF430FRL152H

Hi Team NFC/RFID,

I'm having trouble locating info WRT the range and accuracy of the internal temperature sensor in the RF430FRL152H.  My customer is looking for a useful/reported temperature range of 0-50C.  Their minimally acceptable reported temp range is 20-45C.  Seems that the device may have a minimum reported temperature of ~26DegC.

Thanks!

  • Hello Newman,

There should not be a minimum temperature that high. Have they been calibrating the internal temperature sensor at all? Without calibration the results do not have meaning.

This E2E post walks through all the calibration details: e2e.ti.com/.../2054493

There isn't a released spec for the range that I could find, but the characterization has been done down to 0 degrees C.

Regarding accuracy, with 1-point calibration done by the customer they can achieve accuracy of +/-0.25 C around 36-41C, and the slope accuracy of the internal temperature sensor is +/-10%. (See above post for context on what the slope refers to)
