CC2430: Cannot Initialize

Laura,

To me this looks like a signal integrity issues. You said it was a custom board, I think you need to look at the connection between the custom board and the SmartRF04. The most likely cause of bad connections is the ground wire. If you only have one ground wire, make it short or add a second.

I need your help to understand whether Smart RF studio 7 SW could display RX sensitivity of CC2430. I am able to measure RSSI and PER at given input signal level but I like to know the device sensitivity once the received packets are decoded. How RSSI is related to receive sensitivity of CC2430? Could I use RSSI as approx. metric for sensitivity?

Any update here?
