CC8520: HOW TO SET TX POWER IN HOST CONTROL MODE

Part Number: CC8520

Hello,

we have Microphone which we are using TI CC8520 on it.

we would like to change the TX power via our MCU in host control mode.

there is a command: CAL_SET_DATA which we can set the TX power in host control mode, but there is a limit on it, which we can only use this command once after (re)programming the device. does this mean we have to reprogram our TI each time we want change the TX power?  is there any other command available which doesnt need to reprogram the TI?

Thanks

N

  • Hello N,

The CAL_SET_DATA is the only option to configure the output power in host controlled mode. As you state and as noted in the CC85xx User Guide SWRU250, use of CAL_SET_DATA is limited to one time after firmware programming. In typical audio applications, the output power is fixed.

    Best wishes
