CC2650: Can CC2650 communicate on SPI at 160Khz?

Part Number: CC2650

Hi TI Team,

We are connecting a device to the host MCU(CC2650F128RHB).The device datasheet says that it can support max 160K bps. So does CC2650 supports SPI interface bit rate of 160K bps.
Can we able to transmit and receive at 160Kbps from CC2650. The datasheet of CC2650 mentions that "The SSIs support both SPI master and slave up to 4 MHz" but it doesn't tell us about the lowest frequency up to which it can support serial communication.

  • Hello,

Please refer to the CC26xx TRM section "20.4.1 Bit Rate Generation" (SWCU117, rev H cited) for details on how the clock is selected. For implementation, refer to the SPI driver documentation which has an option to specific the bitrate in the SPI_Params struct.

    Best wishes
