CC1352R: TX Power selection

Hi,
I believe in SmartRF studio 2.8.0, finer TX power steps are available for CC1352 device. Which version are you using?

The version is 2.8.0.

The TX Power selections are +5, 4, 3, 2, 1 , 0, -5, and -10.

Looking at the txpower word in the CMD_RADIO_SETUP shows

In SmartRF studio try to open CC1352 in Proprietary mode and see if you get a finer TX power table.

Do you have data, a table, or a graph showing the TX power (dBm) vs txpower word (hex)?

My application is 802.15.4. Proprietary mode setting are not the same as 802.15.4.

I'm asking this question because the device will be connected to an antenna via a Power Amplifier. The output needs to be calibrated so the power does not violate any regulatory requirements. The table I created above, based on the SmartStudio values available (+5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, -5, and -10 dBm), have a 1 dB resolution between 0 and +5dBm and a 5 dB resolution between -10 and 0 dBm. Is it possible to use other values for the txpower word that will give finer resolution?

Do you have any more insight with regards to the txpower word and the output power?

An option for us is to place a digital attenuator after the PA for fine tuning the output power. It would not be necessary if we could make the adjustment internal to the CC1352.
