I was wondering how difficult it might be to have a module using the CC1310 SoC FCC/CE certified.

Does the silicon device have to be certified first for this to be possible? I notive a few manufacturers state that their devices are certified, which I guess might make this easier? Has the CC1310 been certified by TI yet?
Are there any other things that are specific to this relatively new component that I might have to consider?

Hello Craig,

FCC/CE certification is not for the device (CC1310) but for the product and if you are building a product using CC1310, It needs to be ceritfied.
The reference designs published on the product page have been tested for compliance with different regulations and data can be found in the datasheet. If you follow the reference designs closely to build your boards, it should be fairly easy to pass the requirements.

Currently, we do not have TI modules with CC13xx.

The FCC and ETSI documentation outline how you should do the testing. The exact setup and measurements depend on your system which dictate with standard/ which part of the standard you have to test according to.
