Debug error when using CCSv6.1.3 to develop the application of CC1310

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

Hello, everyone!

When I use CCSv6.1.3 to develop the application of CC1310, debug error often happens.

Cortex_M3_0: JTAG Communication Error: (Error -1170 @ 0x0) Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 6.0.222.0)
Cortex_M3_0: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting.  There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory.  It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging

The board that I is using is CC1310 Launchpad Rev:1.3 and RTOS is tirtos_cc13xx_cc26xx_2_20_00_06.

Anyone can tell me how to do ?

  • Hi Gilbert,

I haven't experienced such an error, yet. But have you seen this and this thread? Do you have a second launchpad to rule out software problems? It could be a faulty hardware connection between the debugger controller and the CC1310 or something could disturb JTAG signals or the reset line. Since you do not always observe the problem, I would assume a hardware failure.
