CC1120 and CC1200 for ARIB STD-T98

Hello,

Do CC1120 and CC1200 have any possibility to apply to the ARIB STD-T98 system?
In case modulation format is 4-FSK, CC1120 and CC1200 may apply to the ARIB STD-T98 system, I think.

Best Regards,

Nomoto

  • I'm not familiar with the standard. When I searched online I only found a Japanese version. Is it possible for you to list the most important items CC1120/ CC1200 have to comply with according to STD-T98?
  • Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

ARIB STD-T98 is needed a radio station license and is for mobile object.
    Some of specifications are following:
    Frequency: 467MHz (from 467MHz to 467.4MHz)
    The number of channels: 65
    Modulation format: 4-FSK (+/-945Hz, +/-315Hz)
    Channel space: 6.25kHz
    Data rate: 4.8kbps
    Allowable deviation of frequency: +/-1.5ppm
Allowable deviation of antenna power: +20% / -50%
Allowable deviation of data rate: +/-5ppm
Modulation accuracy (FSK error): lower than 10%
    Adjacent channel selectivity: 42dB
    Alternate channel selectivity: 53dB

  • Thank you.

To achieve a channel spacing equal to 6.25 kHz CC1125 has to be used, CC1120 and CC1200 doesn't support this low Rx bandwidths.

I think the other items you list should be possible to achieve with CC1125. Since we haven't done any measurements using STD T98 I'm not able to say for sure.
  • Hello,

Thank you for your quick response.
    I can understand your suggestion.
