CC1350: Reference design for CC1350 and CC1190

The reference design will be for CC1310-CC1190.

If I read your question correctly you want to use CC1190 on the sub 1 GHz path and keep the 2.4 GHz path as is. It should be possible to remove all components after the outout of C22/ L12 and use a 100 pF cap as input to the SAW filter.

Would it be possible to also use the 0850BM14E0016 BALUN instead the discrete components (C11, C27, L12, C22, C12, L13, C13, L14, C14) ?

Is there a similar BALUN device for the 2.4GHz path?

Not sure

The reason is that the external bias components have to be placed directly on the RF_P/N pins to get the correct voltage level. The IPC has these components build in. When placing a IPC on the other side of a switch the DC coupling is gone.

What could be a possibility is to use the inductors connected to the RF_P/N in the reference design as is and use the IPC on the other side of the switch not connecting the TRX pin. This has not been tested and it could be something I overlook.

We have baluns for 2.4 GHz, see under "Design files" under www.ti.com/.../technicaldocuments but the PA/ LNA on CC1350 is different than the one used on CC26xx and the impedance CC1350 will see is different from CC26xx.

Still I don't quite understand something:
You suggested to place the SAW right after the C22/L12, and omitting all the following components (C12, L13, C13, etc..)
As I see, the input impedance of the SAW is 50Ohm.
The antenna impedance on the CC1350 board is also 50Ohm, which is connected after the matching circuit (C12, L13, C13, etc..), So I guess that the input to the matching circuit (C12) is something different to 50Ohm.
Isn't it better to connect the SAW in place of the antenna, and keep the matching circuit? Am I missing something?

From what I have seen from simulations the C22/ L12 point where I connect the SAW filter is fairly close to 50 ohm. The components after the balun form foremost a filter.

The values of the matching components between the SAW filter and the CC1190 PA input are chosen to present optimum source impedance to the CC1190 PA input with respect to stability
