CC1120: What is the function for DCPL?

Part Number: CC1120

I use the CC1120 for my application. I follow the design of CC120xEM board, but there are not reqular in DCPL, pin 6 of CC1120, no voltage, what the function for DCPL, DCPL_VCO,DCPL_PFD_CHP and DCPL_XOSC?  I cheecked the EM boare is 1.7V, but there is 0.17V in my board, what's my problem?

  • The DCPL pins have to be connected to a capacitor. The capacitor is part of an LDO to make this stable.

DCPL is connected to the digital regulator, if this is not 1.75 V the digital part is not on. DCPL_VCO and DCPL_PFD are used in the synth and DCPL_XOSC is connected to the clock module/ crystal oscillator.

At start-up you should have 1.75 V on all of them, if not, you have an error on your board.
  • Dear Sir,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I understood there shall have something error in my board, Do you have any suggestions for me to checked? I checked all vdd connect (3.3V) and the capacitor, as same as EM board, I may miss some parts. Looking forward to have your answer. Thank you
    James
