CC1310: SmartPacket Sniffer 2 and how to let it work?

Part Number: CC1310

Dear all,

I have installed Wireshark 2.6.2 in the default directories installed.

I tried to install SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2 Setup, but it fails and complaining it cannot find Wireshark.

Already rebooted, tried Wireshark, but Ti Sniffer keeps complaining.

So what's next....

Regards,

Roland

  • I did the RTFM and was able to configure it so it works even though the installer gave a warning about wireshark.

It works beautifully now and was able to use a CC1310 LAUNCHPAD as sniffer to see that the packets are coming in.

Now I know the bits are flying through the air... in the intended format.

  • Hi Roland,

I'm glad you were able to get this working.

One thing to note is that the current version of Smart RF Packet Sniffer 2 requires Wireshark 2.4 (Old Stable Release). This may be the cause to your original issue.

    Best regards,
    CJW
